Dorset Masters Lodge

On Thursday the 7th of September I attended Dorset Masters Lodge. My year in the chair of my own lodge is coming to a close and, as is customary, I had received an invitation and attend and join Dorset Masters.

The current WM is our very own Grand Officer, Brian Tritton. As such I felt I just had to go and support him as he was also my proposer.

It was a typical masonic meeting with lots of faces there that I have met during my travels as master. I had turned up on my trusty Bonnie as the weather was so warm. ( I don’t need much excuse to squeeze a ride in).

The highlight of the event was learning that the raffle draw for the day was to be in support of the Quarrymen’s own Memorial Ride, this year raising funds for LifeLites.org. This was also very apt as there was another grand officer present that happened to be Tony Harvey, the interim Chair of Trustees for LifeLites as a whole.

Needless to say, he was happy to pose for a photo and see what we are doing to help raise money for this worthwhile charity. You can find out more about it here: lifelites.org
