Fish & Chip Run

Our August natter night was designated for a group ride out for fish and chips in Swanage this month. Starting in two locations on each side of the county, members met, rode and ultimately converged together at Wareham, ready for the ride into Swanage on a lovely late Summer evenining

A good few members are still ill or on their travels but we got a decent showing with 4 non members along for the ride, to find out more about what we do and how we do it.

Graham also got voted in as a full member and will be receiving his patches at an upcoming event.

The conversation flowed as it always does and new friends were made with the chaps coming along for the ride. 3 non masons and an unattached mason all enjoying in what the Quarrymen have to offer.

After we had finished stuffing our faces we had a quick catch up on what was going on and collected another 110 pounds towards our charity ride in 10 short days time. Greatly appreciated and a big step towards us making our target for Lifelites.org. Also making sure that everybody is aware of the bike safe course being run at the end of September. The officers roles were explained to the non members along with an explanation of the Almoners role being given.

With the darker nights drawing in we split into smaller groups and headed home. With 4 of us stopping by the chain ferry for a crossing into Poole, before each heading home in turn.

This was a great evening and is sure to be repeated more frequently over the coming year. Keep an eye on our events section on the Facebook page to see if there is a ride out you can join in on and find out more about biker friends and even masonry in general.
