The Quarrymen are pleased to announce that the members have raised enough funds for 84 Easter Eggs to be donated to a local food bank, Second Chance. This was in our first round of fundraising and does not include additional funds and eggs donated at our recent natter night. We are still processing all of the additional proceeds as fast as we can to get more easter joy spread around the area.
In these difficult times more people than ever before are needing to try and survive with the aid of food banks. It is easy to forget that these families often miss out of the traditional celebrations we have and the treats they get to enjoy.
As such the Quarrymen decided to make sure all of these people still get to have a little treat this Easter. The lovely Shelley Rose is pictured above to receive the donation along with our comms officer and VP. The eggs will be distributed by Second Chance, to those who need them, along with all the other offering this worthwhile organisation offers.
