Our own secretary was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason.<\/p>\n<p>With 11 Quarrymen present for the meeting, we already knew the atmosphere would be electric, especially when added to that of the lodges own brethren.<\/p>\n<p>The evening was doubly special as, now a Master Mason, Tony moves from being a cornerstone in the Quarrymen, to a fully patched up member of the Widows Sons. The director of ceremonies even allowed our VP to present Tony with his patches during the end part of the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>A keen mason already, Tony is already an active officer in his lodge and he looks to have a good future in freemasonry already.<\/p>\n<p>The Broadstone lodge welcomed the Quarrymen with open arms and made us feel a true part of their lodge. This was made more special when a verse was recited to us during the toasts at the festive board, which I present below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We hope you&#8217;ve enjoyed your evening<\/li>\n<li>Thanks for taking a look<\/li>\n<li>Our ritual is rare,<\/li>\n<li>I think you&#8217;ll say fair,<\/li>\n<li>From the heart if not from the book.<\/li>\n<li>We thank you for coming to see us<\/li>\n<li>By car, Bike, on foot, or by Train.<\/li>\n<li>To friends old and new,<\/li>\n<li>We bid you &#8216;Adieu&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>But we can&#8217;t wait to see you again.<\/li>\n<li>We raise a glass to all you sons of the widow,<\/li>\n<li>Whenever, wherever you roam<\/li>\n<li>It just leaves to say<\/li>\n<li>You&#8217;ve brightened our day<\/li>\n<li>And we wish you a safe journely home<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Quarrymen highly recommend visiting the Broadstone Lodge as we are certain that the friendship shown is extended to all that cross their threshold.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last night saw a very special evening.
